Dog health records for the visit and the days between

The record you can hand to your vet.

Health Tracker keeps resting breaths, medications, lab results, weight, and daily check-ins together, so you walk into the exam room with the whole story instead of rebuilding it from memory.

Screens show a sample account with three dogs: Maple, Otis, and Pepper.

Maple's resting respiratory rate over 90 days, with every reading between 18 and 26 breaths per minute inside her 16 to 30 baseline.
Counting a sleeping dog's breaths on a phone: tap once per breath for 15 seconds and the app returns 24 breaths per minute, within normal range.

The dashboard

What needs you today is already at the top.

No digging through menus. Open Health Tracker and the four things families check most are waiting on the first screen.

Refills before the bottle runs out

Doses and pill counts turn into a days-remaining warning for every active medication, so a refill call never becomes an emergency.

Medication refill reminders: furosemide 1 day left, spironolactone 2 days, pimobendan 3 days, and benazepril 2 days.

Questions saved for the next visit

Jot a topic down the moment you notice it. It is waiting on the visit card when the appointment comes.

Upcoming cardiology recheck for Maple on October 28 with three saved topics, including bringing the last 30 days of resting breath readings.

Every dose, every dog

Morning and evening medications line up by time across all of your pets, so nobody gets a double dose or a missed one.

Medication times grid: spironolactone, furosemide, and pimobendan for Maple at 7:30 AM, and benazepril for Otis at 8:00 AM.

Weight with a baseline line

Home and clinic weigh-ins share one graph, with your dog's target drawn in.

Otis's weight over the past year, falling from 79.4 to 74.5 pounds and crossing his 76 pound baseline in June.

Daily check-ins

Thirty seconds a day becomes a pattern your vet can read.

Rate appetite, bowel, energy, coughing, and more on a simple 1 to 5 scale. Each choice explains what the number means, so ratings stay consistent across days and across people in the house.

  • Required and optional categories
  • Plain-language meaning for every score
  • Supplements given that day, logged in one tap
Logging a daily check-in for Otis on a phone: appetite 4, bowel 5, energy 4, coughing 5, then optional categories.

Lab results

See the direction between panels, not just the last printout.

Enter results by hand or import them, then graph any combination of values over time.

  • Reference ranges and abnormal flags on every value
  • Compare several tests on one graph
  • AI analysis explains a panel in plain language
  • Results carry into the vet report
Selecting BUN, creatinine, and SDMA on the test result trends page; the graph shows all three falling from November 2025 to October 2026.

Vet reports

Choose what to share. Hand over one clean report.

Pick the sections your vet asked about, preview the report, then download a PDF or send a share link. Visits, resting breaths, medications, labs, and check-ins come from the same record you keep every day.

  • Pick sections and date ranges
  • Preview before you share
  • PDF download or a private link
  • Optional AI summary of the whole record

Heart and breathing

Built for the numbers you repeat at cardiology.

Dogs with heart disease are often monitored with a resting respiratory rate at home. Health Tracker counts it, keeps it against your dog's baseline, and puts it in front of the cardiologist.

  • Tap-to-count breath timer on your phone
  • Baseline range and trend alerts
  • Morning and evening dose times
  • Cough and energy notes between visits

Kidneys and daily signs

Kidney care, appetite, and the trend between panels.

For dogs with kidney disease, the story lives between lab visits. Keep panels, water intake, appetite, and weight in the same record.

  • BUN, creatinine, SDMA, and phosphorus trends
  • Water intake and urination in daily check-ins
  • Weight against a baseline
  • Quality of life assessments over time

What is Health Tracker?

Health Tracker is a web app from VCarePaws for keeping a dog's health record in one place: vet visits, conditions, medications and refills, supplements, vaccines, weight, daily check-ins, resting respiratory rate, lab results, quality of life, and reports for your veterinarian.

How do I count my dog's resting respiratory rate?

Open the counter while your dog is resting or asleep, choose 15, 30, or 60 seconds, and tap once for each breath. Health Tracker converts the count to breaths per minute, compares it with your dog's baseline, and saves it to the history and trend graph.

Can I share the record with my veterinarian?

Yes. Build a report with the sections you choose, preview it, and then download a PDF or create a share link, depending on your plan.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. Health Tracker runs in the browser on phones, tablets, and computers, and it can be installed to your home screen.

Is it free?

There is a free plan for one pet. Paid plans add more pets and features. Current prices are listed in the plans section.

Is this veterinary advice?

No. Health Tracker keeps the record organized. It does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace your veterinarian.

Bring the chart. Leave the guesswork.
